MARYLAND THREAD!

Hi I'm from Baltimore County, I'm looking to rehome my Rhode Island Red Rooster. He's 8 weeks old and has started crowing. He is very sweet, docile and easy to handle. He's been around kids as well as dogs and doesn't mind either.

I hate it but my four ducklings turned out to be 3:1 Drakes to hen. I’m looking to trade some males for one or two female Khaki Campbells. Montgomery county, Howard co. Anne Arrundel co. Or even PG county Maryland is all close by.
My ducklings are well mannered, hand fed but not too big on cuddling. No health issues, hefty appetite. Here are some pictures of my babes below. Smallest one is not available for trade as she is my female.

We have 11 hens and are relocating locally. Due to expected events we have nowhere to keep our laying hens for month of July. Looking for a temporary home to foster them. You can keep all the beautiful eggs, we can cover cost of feed etc. and willing to pay small fee for care, room, and board. Please help!

Hello! My boy Piper (Bagpiper) was an accidental cockerel in a group of juveniles gotten from a local farm. He is about 18-20 weeks old and become a bit unmanageable with his noise level and I’m reluctantly looking to rehome. He is a cross between a Welsummer and an Ameraucana. He keeps the girls near the run but isn’t domineering that I’ve seen. We are in MoCo and willing to drive a couple of hours to drop him off!

Hello all,

So, at some point one has to accept reality. Our dear Melly, who we got as a chunky two-day old chick is showing serious signs of being more of a " Mel" than a "Melly". 😞 For the past week, we've been hearing him make a really loud squeaky-toy sounding noise in the mornings, which we suspect to be his attempts at crowing.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to have Roos in our area so I am hoping someone would be willing to adopt him into their flock. My heart is so heavy and we are so sad to see him go, but he can't stay. The kids are already devastated. 😢

We reside in Howard County Md. and would be willing to drop off within an hour/hour and half in any direction.

Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you.
Alas, it has come to pass that our dear Melly (23 weeks) who we thought was a he and then a she, has finally revealed his true identity as a He/Roo.
We were excited when other posters suggested "He" was a "She" and honestly, he never displayed any Roo traits - (he's very docile, gentle, never crowed ) until this weekend that is, when he tried to mate with on of the hens and then he CROWED. (*insert pikachu shocked face here!*). I have never been so saddened by the sound of a crow before as I was. :(

Anyway, back to square one. we are not allowed to have Roos in our area so I am hoping someone would be willing to adopt him into their flock. 😢
