I’m completely new to chickens and my parents got my brother his first chickens for about month
How many chickens do you have right now?
There are two chickens
What breeds do you have?
I’m not quite sure what breed they are

Do you have a coop and run ready for them?
It is always highly advisable to have more than 2 chickens. If something happens to one of them, the other won't be left all alone. Be alone is one of the worst things for a highly social flock animal.
