For nest pads check out Opa's roll-away nest box. Linked to his siggy. He uses a directional pad that allows the egg to roll away. They are pretty inexpensive as stuff goes.
 
There are a ton of places people sell ducklings if you plan to integrate domestic ducks. Mallards may end up flying away out of instinct. Plus, sometimes, when you raise a solitary duckling it imprints to you and will not integrate with other ducks since it thinks it's part of your flock (you and the duck).

I have bought the cushion place mats on clearance and use in nest boxes. Works great, except if you have a rabbit that shares space with the chickens. They eat the mats.
