Still have his son, but he's not as pure, as he's got more breeds within him. But will have to make do with what I got.

What makes me feel worse is that apparently they didn't specify they were letting me borrow the rooster for breeding purposes, not keep him. I thought they were giving him to me to keep, & use for breeding purposes.
They're taking his dead body in a box to bury it tomorrow.

He literally died due to blood loss from a torn wattle. He was in a doggy crate for the See No Touch introduction method, which obviously failed him.

Gonna stop blabbering about the incident now. It's just so upsetting as I was looking forward to some of the Rooster's babies next year to continue the project.

One thing I'm curious about is how many generations it'll take to bring back purity by just producing offspring by breeding him with my lonely Blue Face Hen. I know there'll be lots of culling involved.
