I've no experience but I read of a few on Bob's thread. Sometimes it worked and sometimes not. I would say to only do this if you are ready to raise the chicks in a brooder yourself, with all that it implies, if it doesn't go well.Friends, if the eggs don't hatch, what are your opinions on giving Mary day old chicks?

Personally it's not something I would do because I am not ready to raise chicks without a mum.
When Chipie hatched I never heard any peeps, until after I had seen a tiny black chick. All I heard before was the song she was making to the eggs.
Maybe someone will say hi tomorrow. I hope so.When Chipie hatched I never heard any peeps, until after I had seen a tiny black chick. All I heard before was the song she was making to the eggs.
