Mt. Healthy Hatchery

Here's a pic of one of my blue australorps from Mt. Healthy. She's the lightest in color. I ordered 3 blue australorps, 3 blue marans, and 2 cream legbars from Mt. Healthy. All are very healthy birds. I especially love my australorps and marans. They are very calm, sweet and friendly. Beautiful birdsView attachment 3736112

JMac, may I ask how large these got? I have been unable to find an Australorp breeder in all of Wisconsin, and the Australorps I got from Farm & Fleet turned out disappointingly small. Like, maybe 5 lbs. I have jersey giant and brahma roosters, big fellows, and while I love australorps these girls are too small for them.

I will try to get some pictures for comparison. I would say they are good sized birds. Larger than my RIReds but maybe not as large as my blue marans.

I am really hoping to pick up some Jersey Giants from the 'big name in jerseys' Maria - her roosters have been known to reach 24 lbs. I am looking for BIG BIG hens that won't get squashed.
