My 2nd Duck Hatch!

Hi, if anyone is still on this thread some answers would be helpful 😂. I have two girls that are IDENTICAL to your brown girl with the white front… do you know what breed she is?? I have been trying to figure it out for so long… they look liek duclairs! All of those ducks are beauties.

Sorry for asking questions in a very old thread

Your ducks are very pretty. My chocolate and white ducks that look like yours are mixed breeds, but I’m guessing it’s a combination of Khaki Campbell, and blue Swedish/and or Cayuga. My shaky guess is that they get the chocolate color from the chocolate dusky (Khaki Campbell), and the bib from the Swedish blue, but I’m still figuring out duck genes

Thank you so much for the reply! This girls mum could have been a mix of these breeds; Pekin, Welsh Harlequin, Khaki Campbell, Indian Runner, Cayuga, and Rouen. But we bought her dad as a pure Indian Runner but he may have had some Swedish in him… I sure hope so!! I love Swedes but there are none available in my area. 🥲

And by any chance… would you have a guess at what breed the girl on the right is? The brown with white speckles. She is the sister of the bibbed duck. I think Cayuga x something…

I have a drake who is the same color as your duck on the right. I think it’s just a variant of the “chocolate with white bib” look, just with much less “bib”. I’ll take a picture of my drake. If she is a full sister to your other duck, then she is the same mix of breeds:) What color is the dad, the Runner?

Hi, the dad was a weird grey and brown. Definitely not pure. I meant the girl on the *left* hahahah (apparently I can’t remember my lefts and rights 😭😂. That drake on the right I think is a Welsh Harlequin crossed with the runner mix. He is the father of most of my ducklings but has thrown grey, spotty and all yellow

I don’t think that the brown duck with white specks is a full sibling with the brown bibbed girl. The girl on the left I think her mum is a Cayuga. Her mum was identical to her with the speckled chest but only instead of brown she was all black. But not as shiny as the Cayuga drake.

These are them. What do you think? Still the same breeds? My runner drake looked similar to the brown ones but with bibs, not specks. But he had much more white and grey. You drake sounds interesting!

These are their babies from the most recent hatch. All of the babies taht I think are from those hens are either spotty colouration and spotty feet or all one solid colour but with what like to be a bib. Sorry for me rambling on about them. Ducks and chickens are just so fun to me, seeing the different colours and breeds is amazing.
