My Angels Are Spawning! *** PHOTOS! ***

I promise some photos tomorrow once I have access to a fast computer.

I have five large koi colored angels in a 55 gallon community tank. There has been a lot of posturing and fighting the last few days. This afternoon I could see breeding tubes on a pair and they were thrashing the rest of the fish to the other side of the tank. I placed a metal pipe (steel) in the tank. An hour later they begain laying eggs and fertilizing them!

I don't expect a hatch since there are other fish in the tank but it sure was neat to see them do this. They were not bothered by me taking photos either. The male angel is very devoted to keeping the other 'clueless' fish away.

View of the female, you can see her breeding tube. The females have a much larger and blunter tube.

Look close and you can see the eggs, Stripe is now doing his part.

oh that is so cool!!! what great pics. will you seperate the little babies when/if they hatch? maybe you can put some sort of thing in there where they could hide from the big fish.
