I really need help. We had about 32 chickens and they are all fullbred but lots of different breeds. Ages also range. It started in the spring when we bought 6 new pullets. We got them from a “reputable chicken breeder”. When we got the pullets two seemed sickly and so I took them to the vet. They were hunched over and not really eating drinking. He found mites and we treated those. He also started antibiotics and did a fecal sample. Both of them died. At this point they had all been quarantined from our adult flock. I waited for weeks to make sure the other 4 were fine and then introduced everybody. Like a month later one of our roasters started acting like the 2 pullets did so I separated him. I gave him vitamins and ACV, and some herbs. All suggestions from a friend. He died. Now one month later our favorite chicken was standing still in the fence all hunched over. She looked the exact same as the others. The only thing I noticed that was different was that she had green poop and her comb was pail. I immediately started googling things and was trying everything and she just kept getting sicker and sicker. I couldn’t get her into a vet quickly plus the vet we saw before was useless. We don’t have a good avian vet here. Finally I saw on here how to treat coccidiosis but it was too late. She died yesterday. She was a Colombian Wyandotte and she was 2 years old. We loved her so much. my question is how do I know if it was coccidiosis or if maybe she had other parasites? Do I need to treat everyone? And what do I treat them for?? Besides this disease that keeps killing our chickens our neighbors dog killed 5 of our other chickens. I am so sad and don’t know how to save the rest of our chickens. Thank you.
