So, I fed and watered my duck, two days ago she was acting fine, seemed fine, she was being her happy self. :) So the next morning when I woke up I went out to check on her, and she was just laying down with her head up quacking, her foot seemed to have been stuck under a garden hose, I lifted it up and got her out of it, she couldn't stand up because she would collapse so I put her in my room, turned on the heater (she was really cold) and then I sat with her for a few hours, later that night I decided to put her in the bath (made sure it wasn't full cause she couldn't really move her leg so I filed it up to feet length, so I gave her a bath and tried to stand her up, she stayed standing up, but when she tries to move she seems to just collapse onto the floor, so I finished her bath fed and watered her again, then I called it a night, she's still her happy self today and she's actually standing up on her own, but when she tries to move she just falls down.. i'm not sure what to do, I can send pictures if that would help, or even post a video.

Thanks :) and i'm glad to be here

Welcome to BYC! Pictures and a video would be helpful. To post a video, upload to youtube or Vimeo then copy/paste link here.

Sounds like she may have pulled or strained something, hopefully not a break. I would fill up the tub to where she can float so she can excercise her leg without the weight of her body. If she still seems to struggle after a day or two at most a vet visit may be in order.

Hello Caleb and :welcome!!!! There are many BYC’rs here that have a lot of experience. Some questions they will want answered in order to give you some informed help is:

What feed do you give her?
How old is she?
Look on the bottom of her foot, are there any scabs or swollen lumps?
Can you see any swelling along her leg?

Here is a picture of both legs, I am currently uploading a video aswell, I have been giving her cat food for awhile, I know it’s not the best for ducks, but that’s all I had till I got some money, she is nearly two years old, but I read somewhere that chickstarter would be good if she’s hurt so that’s what I am giving her now. The video should be up soon :) thank you all so much.

here is the video, sorry if it's not too helpful, I tried to show as much as I can. and the noise is my desk chair.

and this is my personal channel, where I post stuff with friends as jokes, we are pretty immature so if you do stumble across another video, just note that it was filmed as a joke :)

Whoops, I didn’t see you had her age in the title!

Is it her left leg by chance? I can see some scabs on the pads of her feet that possibly could be bumblefoot, but since I’ve never treated it, @casportpony @Ravynscroft @Miss Lydia @chickens really will have better advice.

Okay, so cat food probably doesn't have enough niacin and othe vitamins and minerals that ducks need, so is there any way you can borrow $20 to buy a bag of all flock feed? Or a small bag of chick starter and some b vitamins?
