Hello everyone!

My favorite hen, Cloudy, has been acting abnormally lately. I have absolutely no clue what could be the issue, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Here are the symptoms:

-Not acting as perky, but still half-heartedly pecking outside and eating treats.
-Crop not full and poop very watery, green, and small (see photo)
-an extremely small egg (see photo)

I thought at first it was an impacted egg, so yesterday I did the olive oil trick and today I found this small egg in my run. But she still isn’t acting normal, so I’m wondering if it is something else. Thank you for all your help!

How old is your hen, and does she normally lay eggs? Has she had a break recently from laying? Fairy or fart eggs may be produced if a small piece of tissue enters the oviduct, and it is then covered with a shell. When you break it open, does it have a tiny yolk, or no yolk? I would continue to watch her droppings and make sure that she is eating a balanced chicken feed. You might try giving a human calcium tablet or Tums orally today. Here is a good article about those and other abnormal eggs with possible causes:
