So which is it, the DE or the ACV?
Your logic for the ACV kinda makes sense, tho not sure protozoa have an optimal ph range, or what it might be.

How old are your birds?
Our girls are about three months old. I believe it is probably a combination of the two. DE is highly effective against many parasites because it is abrasive and damages them. I am not sure where or how coccidia live in the digestive system, but if it were exposed to the DE, it would probably be effective, even though it is not a worm. We have not tried one without the other because we did not want to risk a day without something that has been working, but in my opinion, I would do both. DE won't hurt them and neither will apple cider vinegar.

Today there is no sign of coccidiosis!

Awesome and a weekly teaspoon of oregano in the food
I have heard about adding oregano in their food, but we haven't tried it yet. Hot pepper flakes are also good for worms and parasites because it increases acidity, like ACV. With hot peppers, you have to be careful not to give them too much, or it will be too acidic for the chicken.

DE does little to suffocate external parasites, a permethrin based powder or spray is best used for mites/lice.
We use DE to kill ants, beetles, and anything we don't want in the feed or barn. We sprinkle it wherever we see a problem, and it works pretty well. I have read that some feed companies add DE to their feed to kill wevals.

I bellive DE is used to suffocate parasites, that's why it goes into the dust bath, did you know that oregano oil also combats coccidia, so oregano may help the one who is still sick.
Thanks for the advice! She is actually perfectly fine today! I am always looking for natural alternatives to chemicals and medicines.
