Context:
I have 3-4 week old chicks, 15 of them to be exact. 3 are 100% male, 2 are highly likely to be male. I love my boys and I would love to work something out to keep them. The idea of a Bachelor flock came into my mind, and I would like some advice on how to go about it. I plan on having one or two of the boys with my ten hens, and the other 4 in their own space. 3 boys are Black Sex-links, 2 are Turkens.
Some things I would like advice on:
- Bachelor flock aggression, how to prevent and deal with it
- What I must do to prepare
- Estimated run and coop size for 4 roos
- Anything pertaining to Bachelor flocks; any advice welcome!!
Can these all-male flocks truly work?
I've never raised roos before so please give this newcomer advice!
