Hi everyone I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this sort of thing but I'm not sure what to do 🙁 I've got 2 pekin bantams in my flock of 9 (the rest are big girls). Most of them are 16-20ish weeks old, other than my two 2 year old isa girls and the pekins being the youngest. I introduced the young ones about 3 weeks ago and the big girls are only now starting to bully the 3 pekins. I found one of them today hiding under the nesting boxes in a dark corner, I didn't think much of it until I went to check on her half an hour later and got her out in the open and one of the big girls ran straight towards her and pecked her on the head and body.
She seems really lethargic, her mouth is open and she just lays there all submissive. I've separated her, and given her some food and water and a couple of mealworms for a protein boost. What should I do? Is it just them establishing pecking order or just straight up bullying
TIA

Hi, can you create strategic clutter in your run where you have extra food and water, they need some place to get away from the big girls. They might be picking on them because they're coming into point of lay.
There is a a few hiding spots they can use, I'll put some food and water closer to them though. They free range all day and the littles have been hanging out in the pen most of the time until a few days ago when they started venturing out. They seemed to like being on their own with unrestricted access to the feeders. I got them some crumble feed to make it easier to eat as well.
can I put Chick back into the pen so Pea isn't lonely because they're bonded and just keep an eye on her? Thanks for the tips 😀

Yes, definitely put her back in, monitor them.. If there's a main instigator pull the bully out for a week or two. This can help
I'll do it first thing in the morning, I pulled her out just before they went so sleep for the night so I didn't think they'd notice too much and make it worse. Thank you for the advice!

Hey I put her back in just before, she doesn't seem right? One of the big ones approached and she just splayed out on the ground like she was playing dead and when she's not doing that, one sometimes both her legs are sitting forward like she's sitting on her butt and when she moves she goes backwards🙁 I'm really worried
She ate and drank water out of my hand and her buddy is sticking by her side, I've tucked her away into a hiding spot and put some water next to her

Forgot to add that I've checked her over and don't see any obvious injuries/wounds.. but the back of her neck seems a bit greenish? Kind of looks like a bruise

In chickens bruises are green. Is there a way to set up look but no touch with her and her buddy? How is she eating?
She's not getting out of her hiding spot so I've put water next to her and if I put food in front of her or hand feed her she eats normally
Yes I could possibly set something like that up. I really don't want them to be separated

I put her in a little cage with food and water and I put some omega/vitamin E oil in her crumble, covered most of the cage with a towel to keep it dark and tucked it under a chair I've got sitting around in there so she's protected from all sides..her buddy isn't leaving her side and she even came up to me while I was tending to the injured one and flew up onto my arm. That's the first time she's even come near me, they've both been so timid and shy.
I had another look at her neck and head and found a little scab in the middle of the bruising. Could it be head trauma that's caused all this or brain swelling or something and if so is there a chance she'll get better? It's heartbreaking to see her like this. I had a feel around her legs/tendons and nothing seems out of the ordinary so I'm thinking neurological. She eats and drinks when it's presented to her so I'm hopeful.
