Chirping
Yes I've searched but a lot of conflicting answers. I see a lot on here have successes being outdoors younger than mine. I think I am looking for guidance on how to get them outside
This is by far the earliest in the year I have gotten chicks. I am in NJ, currently 40 as I write this at 10am. They are 6.5 weeks old today. I had them outdoors during the day last week but it was high 60s and now we have a cold front.
I have a dog crate in the run with my other chickens. My plan is do what I do every year and divide run with temp fencing so chicks can have their own coop and share the run (with the fence protecting them from my jerk mean hens) and not be bullied as they learn to go inside at night.
Usually it's consistently in the 60s during the daytime when the chicks are 6 weeks.
Am I over thinking this?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
