Nest box designs

It really doesn’t matter what nest boxes I built for them, they lay their legs on the ground…

Our coop has nesting boxes but the chooks far prefer kitty litter containers LOL. We live in Florida where the summers are long and hot so I drilled large holes on the sides for ventilation.

I think I might try this and paint them. I have one litter tote I was useing to haul sand into the coop and it got left in there. The next day I found eggs in it.
