It’s always the friendly onesChick #2 does look like a cockerel.
Unfortunately it usually is. Whenever someone asks if their chick is a pullet or cockerel, and they say it's really friendly, that's my first clue it's a boy. It's not foolproof by any means, and I actually currently have some very friendly pullet chicks, but it's a "warning sign"It’s always the friendly ones![]()
#2 is definitely a cockerel. #1 needs some more time!They’re now 4 weeks old. Chicken #2 is looking suspiciously roo-like with a red comb and wattles.
Chicken #1 and #2 are the same breed.
