Some people find it icky or weird, but I figure it's using their natural instinct to get them to do something convenient for me (stopping at my feet, instead of running away). I used to have a male cockatiel that tried to mate with my hand daily - at first I was too young/naive to realize what he was doing but once I figured it out it was like, guess it's no big deal after all.
