I just ordered 15 straight run New Hampshires from Freedom Ranger Ranch. Site says they are bred by Henry Noll.

Does anyone know about Henry Nolls line of New Hampshires. I read he is a geneticist but didn't really read anything stating the quality of his line.

They say their NHs are bred towards a meat line but also says great dual purpose bird.

I've wanted to try NHs for years so I jumped at the opportunity the other night but this morning I'm wondering if I made the right move.

Thanks...
Looks like this place buys eggs from someone else, hatches them, then sells them.

Never heard of this Noll person myself, but that doesn't mean much. I'm wondering why you wouldn't just buy directly from Noll.

If you are looking for meat birds and not show birds I see nothing wrong with what you purchased.

To my understanding he only sells eggs to that hatchery. Also the price of their chicks is beyond reasonable.

Also to my understanding Noll breeds some of the meatiest and fastest growing NHs in the country.

He gets lots of respect.

Then I'm going to guess you made a good purchase.
Will you start a thread once you receive the birds so I can follow along and see how they grow?

@jolenesdad Did you order these once?

I believe he did or else someone on the meat thread did. I remember these birds coming up before.

@trescloudy I believe there was a discussion or two about these birds here. If not you may find other good info there. :)
