New Jersey

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advise. Sadly, we are moving and can't bring our 4 chickens (2 RIR and 2 BSL) and a male Pekin duck with us (all 1 yr old). We are having a hard time finding someone who can take them. If anyone has ideas on where we could try to find them a home, I'd greatly appreciate the help! Or if anyone is able to take them please let me know! We are in the South Jersey area - Salem County. You can even have the coops if you need them! We just want to see them go to a good home! The chickens are really great layers and he is a wonderful protector. Sadly, his female counterpart past away so we'd love to see him go to a home with other ducks!
The funny farm rescue might be willing to take them!

Hi,

I am looking to see how much people pay for their chicken permits in towns around Nj. I live in Woodbridge and they have recently raised our fee from $35.00 to $75.00 for 5 chickens. I am going to a council meeting to address this issue. I would like to know what everyone else pays and for how many. Thank you for your assistance. Also, if anyone else would like to join me in this chicken pursuit for my town, please reach out. TIA for your attention and information.
