New Layena Bags

Well, if anyone would like to send me some and I'll make a tarp for them as well that would be fun. I don't have enough chickens to go through bags unfortunately.

I've been saving mine for a while. Thanks for all the great ideas. I was thinking I'd use them for insulation in our soon to be new coop addition... but why hide 'em.

can anyone tell me what they are made of (feed bags) ?
Is it coated paper or is it a type of woven poly (plastic) type material?

FYI... I just bought 3 bags of Layena last night at TSC. 2 bags of Layena which were in Pink poly bags and a bag of Scratch that was in a poly bag.

My mind is just filled with ideas for the poly bags.

- The hand bag is the best idea! I'm going to have the pink ones turned into hand bags.
- Also love the idea of sewing some together to make a tarp.
- How about using to make a large canopy for shade for the chickens... Sort of like a umbrella.

It's woven poly bags. Sort of like the plastic sand bags seen along side the roads. However, much more tightly woven to keep out moisture. Actually, I think the exterior of the bag is coated to keep out moisture.

What state are you in? I may take you up on that offer.

I'm in CA. Half our family is in White Bear Lake though. Go MN!
