New Years 2025 - Top 5 Resolution Preps

Oh, I would love to learn a martial art. I know a bit about unarmed self defense, weapon retention and retrieval, but have not practiced any of it in 15 years or more.

I'd really like to learn how to take a fall and roll with it so that I didn't go splat and break something (again).

Fishing. Now there's something I should do because we live on a river and many years ago someone told me that we have one of the best fishing spots in the county on our property.

The river is also the watershed for all the farm fields and septic tanks in the area. So the fish are swimming in all that.

It’s been years since I’ve fished and I’ve moved since then so I need to learn the local regulations and fishing spots, and find at least one spot where I can fish and eat what I catch.
This is me too. My neighbor could make it easy if he stocked his pond. But I'm also a little wary about being so close to Ag runoff.

2.) Work on being the best version of myself
3.) Break off bad relationship and ties with people
4.) Do exercises with my dog so he can loose weight
2. I'm still trying to figure out what that is!
3. I think I'm at a point where that is just happening automatically.
4. I have some regrets with this one. Lost my boy this year.

Hmm. Last year my resolution was to just be good to myself. I've done that and it's paid off! I'm stronger and am getting around without my cane for the most part. So this year I resolve to: do even more with my newfound strength. To be more physically active.

Yup, that's it! It's been a challenging 10 years, so although my standards may seem low, I'm really asking a lot of myself.
I hope you will!

It's winter time but it's been warm. My 4 Pullets have matured into young hens and have started laying a eggs for me each one at a different time. But they are using the same nest. I need to finish my dividers in the coop for 2025.
