Nibbler the single duckling

Hey everyone just here to share my sort of project

I baught this duckling as a single as all her siblings were sold off. i thaught i could help her out.
She lives inside with us and sleeps beside our bed in a tote

We supplied a dollar store mirror and a stuff animal. And a heatlamp on an In-line dimmer switch

She is never actualy lonely me or my girlfriend are usualy home and shes always in the main living area with us, And the cats sleep beside her tote (its like one of us sleeping beside a tasty cheeseburger haha)

Anyway i wanted to wait to see how it whent before i realy shared. Its been a great experience and i would only recomend it to someone with the time and patience!

She eats chick starter with prime bird multivitamins and eats apsalutely everything as treats! everything we eat she eats because we are her "parents" or gardians.

She is going to start meeting her future family this week end and its making me sad. I have a male pekin and a female kahki cambell who cant wait to meet her!

I Just thaught everyone would like to see my baby silver appleyard named nibbler!

Oh and iam in no way promoting having single ducklings. She will ultimately have siblings and live like a duck!

But its a good experiment to see if i could raise a healthy duck indoors, Get all the benefits of one on one bonding and end up with a flock of loving ducks who see me as the top of the pecking order

Oh my goodness. . I could swear that was a picture of MY cat! His name is Grissom. I was a bit of a csi Vegas fan when I got him. He got himself in lots of near death situations as a kitten. One of which was my fault. I stupidly put a dog collar on him that didn't have the safety elastic and he got it in his mouth one day while I was gone to work. When I got home my house looked like a crime scene. Blood everywhere. His face looked like something out of a horror movie. He lost so much blood I don't know how he lived.
