No waste chick feeder build

Thank you so much for this post! My 4 chicks have been scratching out SO much food.
I used your example and modified my feeder with a circular cutout from a small red solo cup-and its WORKING! There is NO feed on the brooder floor...I LOVE it!
Would you mind if I posted a pic of my modification here? (I'll start a new thread if you'd prefer).
Thank you again for your great idea!!

I don't know about the rest, but I'd love to see it!

I wouldn't mind at all, I'd like to see it.
I just cut out the middle of this small solo cup & popped it in the middle of the feeder base. I do have 3 small pieces of duct tape holding it for extra measure, but they're not needed really. It's working great for my little setup, funnels the food lower into the feeder 20190327_154825.jpg , no food on the floor:)
New problem, chicks want to scratch the food SO badly, they are now climbing on the feeder trying to scratch...doesn't matter they cant get to the food except with their lil heads. lol

16oz solo cup?
How far from bottom of cup did you cut?
How big across is hole in bottom of cup?
Can you still screw jar into feeder base?...
...or cover top somehow??

Sorry for all the Q's

No sorries :) Yes, this cup holds just 16 oz.
I got a dozen from Dollar Tree for $1.
I hope these pictures help answer your questions.
I just eyeballed it and kept trimming with my scissors
til it looked right. It's working.
I'm terrible at measurements.
Still no food on brooder floor!:ya
