A few days ago I decided to dive into all the old photos on my phone and couldn’t help but feel sad when I found these pictures of my late (hatchery bred) Salmon Faverolle- Fluffernutter.
Thought I’d dedicate this little post to her, she was probably the best chicken I’ve ever owned: out of all 70 we’ve had.

Here’s pictures of her as a baby and a big girl 😊 and she’s my profile picture as well.

I’d love to hear stories of your late chickens (or present ones) as well. ❤️

She was a pretty girl! It always amazes me how much they change as they grow from chick to adulthood. Thanks for sharing your pictures!

My gosh what a beautiful hen.

She had a very nice temperament, was just all around friendly. Would come over to you so you could pick her up, liked to have her feathers stroked while she was eating. And could be pretty comical at times.

Aww! I’ve never had a chicken like that. Hopefully one day soon 😊 Did you handle her a lot as a chick or she was naturally that friendly?
