Right now the only thing you can do is to carefully dab some antibiotic ointment on the navel.

No cleaning, washing or trying to get the scab of, as this will open up the abdomen.

Long enough that the other baby chickens have tried to peck at it and drag him. So I separated him from the rest of them

As long as it isnot able to walk or stand, separation is good, but separate it within the brooder.

The umbilical cord can be snipped off only when it is totally dried and shriveled, otherwise it will start to bleed out.
