Mummy is a crested cream legbar and Daddy is a white pekin bantam.

All barred chicks are male then. Legbars are barred. A barred hen can only pass the barring gene to her male offspring. The white pekin is recessive white, so breeds like a solid black when crossed, allowing the barring to be visible.

Oh that's interesting to know, thanks! I guess I got hopeful when I saw the comb and wattles much paler and less developed, but maybe he's just a slow developer!

I for one have no idea and usually when there isn't someone on that knows it gets ignored or the thread is flooded and it doesn't get seen by those who may have an idea I would repost updated images that are good quality. Also one thing I do know is silkies are very hard to sex and you might have to wait for an egg or a crow
