OCD in chickens?

I have a 26 week-old Speckled Sussex who spends most of her time running from nest to nest looking inside or going in, inspecting it and then going to the next one. I believe she is laying along with the others. It's like she is looking for the eggs we collect. It sounds crazy, but she acts like she has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Any idea what she is doing? She will stay in the coop repeating this behaviour rather than going outside with the others.

Maybe trying to compare what she lays to what everyone else is. Really the only idea I have is that she may be in the very, very first stage of going broody,
