Had everything tied down, but the tree that shades the chicken run snapped in a strong gust! None of my girls were hurt, thankfully.

The wind has shifted to the NW here and you can feel some moisture on the air. The air has been full of dirt and smoke off and on today. The fires at Leedy and Carmargo are about thirty or forty miles SW of me.

Everybody doing all right? A lot of fires around the state over the past week.

The rescue I work at in Guthrie has almost been in the line of at least 1 fire a day, but we haven't had to evacuate the horses at all.

Nana take care of yourself, its been that way here too, health issues are interfering with chicken keeping. Need to do some coop repairs, its a slow process, but enjoying those chickens I have and waiting for cooler weather. Post when you can!
