I have a one year old hen that had sudden onset of one eye lid that has either swelled or looks a bit like pytosis. It is slightly swollen. I rinsed her eye out with a saline wash. No scratches or debris. No crusting or discharge. I added a Vetericyn ophthalmic gel. Any other thoughts?

Best regards,

Brad

I would continue to treat her eye twice a day. Terramycin eye ointment is good to use twice a day. Let us know if any other symptoms develop. Offer water and food often, since she may not be taking enough. Is she lethargic as well?

She is not lethargic or droopy. I greatly appreciate your response.
