She hops and she balances herself with the shank. Long term, I don't know if she will be able to hold her own or not. I wasn't as worried about infection, it seems to be sealing up ok. Maybe I should clean it again and put on the bandaid or boot.

It doesn't look like it hurts as much as it did before. My husband was thinking of something, like a toothpick, to make the legs more balance. Then cover with the band aid.

Wow, that's higher than I thought! I've seen onelegged chickens get around fine. So she'll be ok. But if you could make a fake leg that'd be even better. I'd use a popsicle stick and moleskin. And adjust it as she grows.
