Here are pics of our flock. The girls are about 10.5 weeks old now. They are all getting so big! They have been out in their coop & fully enclosed run for 3.5 weeks. When we are spending some time outside, they get to come out of their run and free range around the backyard for a little while.

1st is Margaret, she is the most nosy - always the first to come greet us and peck at us when we come into the run. Most likely to bite your clothes and toes. She’s also the lightest in coloring, more gray than the rest. image.jpg

Next up is Agnes. She used to be a bit of a bully to the rest when they were tiny. She’s calmed down since then, and generally doesn’t want to be bothered by humans.

Louise is pretty basic and not much personality. But she does have 1 feather with a shiny black tip on her back!

Ethel is the dumbest of the flock. 😂 She regularly gets “stuck” in the run when we open it to let everyone roam the yard for a bit… she will not go to the door, instead she stands in the corner looking at her friends through the mesh and making terrible sad noises. She’s also the lady with the darkest coloring. image.jpg

Betty is the last of the barred rocks. Her wings have white on the tips.

Next, our Easter Eggers.
Hazel is the largest of the 2 EE’s, and she also had a toe injury as a chick so our outer right toe is missing the tip. She also runs “screaming” if we try to pick her up. It’s a special noise only she makes. 😅 image.jpg

Last is Nobara. She is the smallest of the entire flock. She’s a sweetheart but pretty shy. image.jpg

And here’s a flock pic from when they got a “field trip” out of the run today- only 6 in the picture, because poor dumb Ethel couldn’t find the door. 😂 IMG_3087.jpeg

They are great at going straight back into their run if they get spooked, so that’s been great! When we are done being outside and need to go back in the house, we just start to chase them and they beeline as flock straight back to their run so we can lock them up safely, and don’t have to chase single birds around the backyard. ☺️

Nice photos and it was fun to read about the different personalities. Thanks for sharing!
