moth balls around the outside of coop? Or dryer sheets (I hate them but the scent can also drive wildlife away likely because it smells like a human is right there “somewhere” with all their perfumed clothing on).

Hubby took that "smell" idea to a different level. I'm glad nobody can see him peeing back there.

The neighbor think she must've had kits because she hasn't been there and we haven't seen her either for over a week, when it was going on daily for weeks.

I think they typically move their litters around a lot between several den sites if I’m not mistaken.

I have heard of the human urine trick. Not sure how well it will work but If he’s worried about being seen he could do it in a bottle all day and then disperse as needed.

I think citrus is also a scent that canines don’t care for, as in the zest from the peel.
