Our New Bird!

Say hello to Pretty!
(Yes, that's her name)

She's a Red-Crested Turaco and is now housed with our Golden Pheasant.

We had a big switch around with our aviary and the birds in it and now it looks like a mini jungle!
(And sounds like one too)

I believe we are trying to get a male but it's proving difficult.

My Silkies are my main focus but when a family member of mine said he'd got her and brought her back home...well, how can you resist that face!

I know she's not a chicken but I thought people here may still like to see her!

Thankyou! She is kinda friendly. She's always been an aviary kept bird so she'll never come over and hop onto our arm but when we shout of her she will come down to see us.

Luckily she isn't as flighty as some of them, making for some great photos as she'll just calmly hop between her branches.

As for cost, your guess is as good as mine! When he brought her home we asked how much she cost but got no answer...I wonder why

We also never found out how much the breeding DNA sexed Jenday Conures were that he bought...I also wonder why!

Wonderful bird! It is so easy to get more birds. I have had to turn down some great ones, I would not be able to resist that one though!
