Panicking! Advice please!!!!

You will need to be patient. My guess is the actual temperature was low. Don't think about how many days. It is important to make sure the ducklings have absorbed their yolks before they come out of the eggs. It is not time to assist, but reading https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/guide-to-assisted-hatching-for-all-poultry.72886/ may help with understanding the end stage of hatching.
Thank you. I have read this article over and over...have my gear ready. I am haunted by other messages from people who had a zero result because eggs were small. All the chick's were fully formed....just didn't make it.

Do you know why the eggs are so small? I have had unusually small eggs hatch normally

Hi. No I don't know. I bought them from a new breeder. I collected them from his work location. I didn't realise how tiny they were until I put them in the incubator. My first hatch only fit 5 eggs. This time I bought 6 but could have for 8 or 9. Then I realised. Good to know little ones can hatch. I have heard doom and gloom.
