hey all, I have two juvenile peacocks (roughly 9 months old) who learned tonight as we were putting them up that they could get 3 stories up in a tree.
Tonight also just happens to be the coldest night - they’ll be okay, but sure will be miserable.
has anyone tried or had success with partially (or fully) clipping wings to reduce height when flying?
I would like for them to still be able to get to lower tree branches (around 8 ft) and on top of the roof of the duck overhang to escape predators if needed.
This would be temporary while we work on training - just working on them getting into a routine of always being in their aviary at night & perhaps even some recall training.
