I just want to show off these WyBra's that I "made".
I crossed laced wyandotte males with partridge brahma females this year, and thought the resulting pattern was quite lovely, and genetically interesting. It's the best of both patterns, with the partridge back and laced front.
I only got these two with this particular dark pattern. 2 were of a lighter color, but their lacing wasn't too good. I like the silver one the most, because of the stark contrast. I think these are worth working with in the long term, so I'm gonna make some more next year, and then breed the mixes with each other. Unfortunately I didn't get any good silver wyandotte cockerels, so I will use a blue laced gold instead, hoping to get a blue version. (and maybe get some more of each breed, to have a better gene pool)
Never done a breed program before, so it'll be interesting.
