So for years we've set a few eggs in a basket way in the back of the fridge to age them a little before hard boiling them. Super frustrating to leave 20% of the egg on the shell/membrane and that seemed to help.

Today I tried a trick I saw online- and even with day-old eggs (super fresh) it worked amazingly.

Hardboil your eggs however you like- we use one of those submergible 'timers'- don't @ me I know that's not for everyone. :)

After the eggs are cooled, put each one with some cold tap water in a pint-ish sized jar with lid. Shake maybe five times with medium force (maybe err on the side of less-than-medium at first) and the shell and membrane come right off.

Almost forty years of raising chickens and had no idea how easy it could be!!
