So, this is a follow up to a thread I posted a couple weeks ago. I have a rooster that I think stayed in the incubator a lil too long. He's not quite right. He's definitely blind and his legs don't always work right and he has some balance issues. Hes aboit four months old now. He's adorable and very calm and loves his "MaMa" Matt. He's unable to find for himself in the general population and is in solitary confinement. Luxury accommodation, but, very solitary. I had a hen set a nest. Three weeks ago two hatched out but only one chick survived. was ready to go back to the flock so we made the decision to try the chick in with Penn Gwen as a Companion. I was worried at first. Most of the time mixing chicks with stranger older chickens don't work. Matt called me out just now to take these pictures. Penn Gwen and Companion are snuggled up on the roost like the best of friends. I love it when a plan comes together.

That's adorable! :love

I had a 1-month-old rescue rooster who was lonely, so I got him a friend who was 1 week old! They became best friends and still live together at 3 months and 2 months.
