gonna try to finish up the yard work today...don't have much left, but still enough to feel the burn:old..haha
have to get some updated pics of the yard..now that it is looking bare:rolleyes:....not in it's full glory, but still not too bad.
Will also get some pics of the new 1 acre property we just purchased right beside our piece..just made sense to add..will give more elbow room and help give us some piece from any "people issues" .
Don't have to worry about who's gonna move in right next door.
The property needs work. ..drainage, leveled off..cleaned up..
No buildings on it, except an old thing needs torn down.
All utilities are there, so if we did decide to sell a piece of it or build..one less issue to have to cover.
Having this new property will help us maintain our original home's drainage issues...just recently water run-off is more of a thing....this weather is not going to get any "less-crazy" for sure!!
It is good to have options now, and for the price, we couldn't ignore it.
Even the gentleman we purchased it from said that it just made sense for us to get it. He was a bit sad that his family couldn't seem to see the "homestead history" importance of it, but he knows we will take good care of it, make it good again.:highfive:
Have fun today all and remember, stretch out first, bend at the knees, lift with your legs and take plenty of breaks:old;)

LMP, this isn't the "problem" neighbor, is it? Sounds like it must be the other side. Good to be able to add to what you have.
Not who we bought property from, no.
We bought the vacant piece across the "alley" (private drive).
Property extends the entire "alley way" and actually goes across the road.
You know were we are at.
The entire area used to be one single deed/property,(farm), then "they" sub-divided into lots. Our house is the original farm house.
The individual to whom you were speaking of is STILL an issue, yes..ridiculous.
Hoping at some point, that will work it'self out...maybe in this life time.:hmm

Got truck load (Did the math, with the risers on it, a truckload is 120 cu ft--a cord is 128) number 5 of the firewood I got a deal on stacked. I think there's at least 6 more to go. oy.
Are you stacking this?? were in the world are you putting all that??..my goodness woman, bend at the knees..:old
