Oh no poor Penny! She needs some spoiling today!

It looks like it was the top layer and was hanging by a thread so I was able to cut it off.

Aww I hope she isn’t in too much pain, poor girl! Can you put anything on her beak like ointment or anything?

I have read that we can do Vetericyn spray- I just put her on her perch and she drank a lot of water- she didn't want the grapes as a peace offering, so I am going to leave her for now and check back in a few hours.

Penny was well behaved at the vet. Every thing looks good she had some x-rays too because she doesn't have a huge interest in food right now. Results back in 24 hours- for now Penny picks out treats at Petsmart! Yes apparently worms is something she eats with interest lol

Thanks!! Yeah- it could, she is drinking a lot of water too

Penny got to go shopping!

I'm glad the vet is checking her out.

So we got a call from Penny's vet this evening. She is showing an infection in her lungs so we will treat with antibiotics. It also looks like her intestines are slow to empty. Poor Penny Marshall We are taking the best care of her and we know she will feel better once she gets some medicine and recovers. The vet thinks she probably has some form of slow marecks (which we have thought for some time).

Penny's a fighter though and ate a bunch of worms today!
