I hatched out some pekin/mallards this past february, still have two of them, the ones i have almost look like dark appleyards. They came out all colors though.

I think Pekins mixed with other breeds have some of the prettiest coloring. they mix well

They sure do! Got two more ducklings that hatched out yesterday for a friend, theyre welsh/ pekin crosses. The babies came out black with little white bibs.

Our mallard hen hatched 19 babies last month, but these four were hatched in the incubator and we're very attached to them. I did a lot searching for photos of this cross on the internet, but couldn't find any so this is for anyone else who is curious. I was really surprised by the black ones!

i have a rouen (a large mallard like duck) and i am hoping to get a pekin and i hope there have a baby that looks like the black ones you have

All of my RouenxPekin have turned out black with the bib and wing tips. They've been great egg layers in my experience!!
