Cats can be so different one to the other. Some years ago one of my cats, then a young adult, got in amongst the pigeons and though when I found him he was leaving them alone, I also found one female huddled in a corner with a laceration under each wing. But the fact she was still alive (and quickly recovered with antibiotics) makes me think Hogan, a smallish cat without a lot of hunting experience, had decided he had bitten off more than he could chew.I guess he went in through the trap door yesterday and I didn’t notice and locked him in all night, poor guy. At least he was a really polite cat and there’s not a feather out of place. It could’ve been a total massacre.
My barn cat, who was sadly murder to small wild birds, would lie on the lawn outside the barn with chickens and pigeons around her and show absolutely zero interest in them.
