I have 7 ducklings, all have had Metzer's waterfowl booster, duckling starter, & peas. During outside playtime on Wednesday, we noticed 1 duckling ( yes, a Pekin) had a foot turning inward & it was stepping on it. In a panic, I researched your informational thread on niacin deficiency & rushed out to get Durvet high level complex B. I give it 1 mL with peas. I also have Bragg nutritional yeast coming in the mail. Is there anything else I should know? Will the leg heal back to normal? I've heard in passing about making a splint? Thanks in advance; I'm so worried.

Good on you to research and find the supplies you need! How old is she? It can take a couple weeks to turn things around, so just keep up the vitamin B every day. It probably depends on how long it's been turned in and how much, so hard to predict whether the leg will go back completely to normal. Don't let her overdue it with running around while you're strengthening it. She may always be slightly pigeon toed, but as long as she can get around with the rest of the flock and without discomfort, that's good.
