I just got my wood ducks today!

and let me say that they are so tiny. anyways I have blue hawk poultry fence with 2in x 3in rectangles in it. Will they escape from those?

, I would say if, you think they might fit through fence - they probably can. Could you add the small chicken wire/poultry netting to your fence, attached with zip ties? Congrats on the new ducks!

So do you know for a fact that they could fit through a 2in x 3in space?
 
I do not know what size yours are? I know when I had 2 week old baby turkeys - they could easily fit through a 1 1/2" hole

Luckily I was able to catch it before, my barn cats did!
 
Rule of thumb for a full grown North American Wood Duck-They can fit through a 3x4 hole (the standard size for a nest box entrance). They are not afraid to squeeze through a tight spot. Why risk it?

OK thanks I put 1x1 netting around the outside of the fence
