Plexiglass walls in run?

Pics
I posted a bunch on the 25th! Got suggestions of making a ditch filled with rocks, making some overhangs, putting up a sun fabric and/or rain plastic if heavy rain, installing gutters, etc. 🙂
@khind

Since you asked for advice I am compelled to give it.

I've reviewed all of the pictures of your set up and honestly, that pile of junk needs torn down and rebuilt using proper building practices.

Your safety is important to me and I do not believe that is a safe setup.

There are some building materials that you can salvage and re-use but the overall structure needs torn down.

We get strong winds here too.
It doesn't catch the wind like a tarp does.

Recently we had 80-90 mph winds and the big piece I have on my hoop run is only held on with clips. It did not budge.

I'm curious about these clips you use. Do you know what they are? Or could they have been something you found while looking in the store when you got the pvc pipes? They look like they would not tear the cloth, and like they fit the pvc perfectly.

I bought them in 4' long sticks from this place....

I cut them to 6" lengths on my miter saw but I bet they can be cut with PVC cutters too.

This link is to the product I bought. Technically these are already cut to 4" lengths ...... I didn't see the 4' sticks of it right off hand.

I forgot to take or post updated pics a while back. I added the garden cloth to cool the coop from the blazing sun & even keep light rain out of run, gutters to prevent mud around and up against the coop, and layers of varied litter as discussed. It's all helped a lot. Bought rocks for a drainage system (maybe a French drain) away from the coop, but postponed that project for a bit, now that winter is next. Also finally realized that where I had joined the 2 coops there was a draft in winter. 🙄 I caulked gaps to keep it out.

I use construction sand in a covered, under-deck run. It mostly stays dry, but does get wet in those areas facing the elements. I rake the run at least once per day and have lots of ventilation (3 sides open), so maybe that's why sand has worked so well for me. It drys quickly when the sun hits it and stays soft since I rake it daily. I have not had any issues with smell or prolonged wetness.
