Post pictures of your coop!

I'm almost finished with the new coop and run. It's too cold to paint and I need to build the roll out nesting boxes, but I've got a couple months before the new chicks start laying. The duct tape is so they don't get caught in the wires šŸ˜¬

Thatā€™s such a nice coop and run! Thanks for sharing! How many chickens do you have?

Weā€™ve got several coops , thanks to the Chicken Summoning Circle the Ladies have hidden somewhere on the property.
Our older coop is a HillBilly condo that has been added to so many times, but some Ladies still think of it as home.

Donā€™t have a lot of pictures of wide range.
We are in Central Florida so itā€™s an open style coop and the Ladies free range every day.
Recently we converted part of our barn to a coop, due to that Summoning Circle mentioned earlier, so now have 120+ hens and 18 Roosters. Not all the Roos free range at the same time, we rotate every other day.

If I linked this right itā€™s got our barn conversion thread.
Only want to add one more picture that shows how we set up for the new hires in the egg industry.

The chicks are in the store coops until we start integrating, let them out a hour or two a day after the first few weeks. Then choose a coop for their permanent home.

I went out and got pictures of our set up today. I don't have anything cohesive enough to make a coop page. Maybe in a few years when we have to replace the garage.

Anyway, we're in town and they just allowed chickens last December. We're super excited about it, even if we're limited to 6 hens. We built our coop inside the 2.5 car garage (which is too full of stuff to park cars in).

Husband blocked off a 5x10 section of the garage with cinder blocks to contain the bedding and framed up to the garage rafters. It's kinda in the middle of the wall because the ordinance states the coop must be 5 feet from the property line and our garage is built on the property line. I doubt it would be an issue, but this way if anyone complained we're still within the letter of the law.

The L-shaped roost is at the end closest to the back of the garage with the feeder and nest box tucked underneath. The ramp is nailed directly to the wall studs. The poop board is covered in stall dry and scooped daily to every other day.

Outside, we have a 20x20 fully enclosed run! The city ordinance states that the run must be enclosed on all sides, including the top, and I wanted a solid roof to keep the run dry. The run is located in a (previously) unused part of the yard between the garage and the garden. Between the run and the back fence is our compost bins, so the run handily keeps the dogs from eating crap out of the compost. The door to the run is located inside the fenced garden. This serves as a convenient double barrier against the dogs and gives the chickens easy access to the garden for supervised free ranging in the off season.

And this is my view of the run from my kitchen window!

I love how you have the coop and your garage! I really like your run. Itā€™s awesome that it has a roof like that and Iā€™m sure your chickens like all the room! This is off topic but did your chickens like their pumpkin?!

They love it! My white chickens are positively filthy from sticking their fluffy muffs inside to get at the seeds.

What are the two black platform things suspended from chains? It looks like you did a ton of work! šŸ‘
