I think we all have favorite performers of certain songs. I like Andy Griffith for a lot of songs. This woman making it so personal though makes this version so much better.
My mother loves Elvis (who doesn't?!). But she doesn't like his singing worship songs. He didn't live the life of a believer, so she doesn't want to hear it from his lips.

I'm a big Johnny Cash fan... He made a gospel album right before he passed away, absolutely awesome, beautiful simple gospel


Somebody mentioned Reba was going to put one out, so I'll be looking for that one too. The girls would like something a little less...old to listen to lol

Would someone list all the New Testament "James" and "Mary", there are three or more of each name and I can't keep them straight.

I can do the James, but I'm just going to post the location of the scriptures, I'm low on internet again, lol the bill must be due

Apostle to Jesus, son of Zebedee, brother of John.

He would be in ...

Next James, son of Alphaeus, also an apostle to Jesus, found in...

Last but not least, the Lord's brother James, son of Mary, became a disciple after the resurrection and was the author of the book of James (according to most scholars anyway)

Ok, folks. I went searching for one of my favorite songs. "In the Garden". I could find recent recordings of it, but could not find the old time recordings that I grew up with. I would have been about 5 - 8 years old, so listened to it in early 60's. (on a big record, on a hand crank player!) Sung by a man with a nice deep resonating voice. Any one out there who can help me find it and post it?
