Amazing! He's a beautiful boy! Aussies are wonderfully sweet dogs, and definitely do best with a job and a person. Though they love pretty much everybody. He seems like he'll be just perfect! Congratulations!Answered prayer, this may be long but I have to tell it.
So .. GC, my 23 yo Grand daughter, whom I call my GirlChild here, has .. some issues and needs. She still lives here at home with DH and me and only recently got her hs diploma after several years of effort. She's plenty bright but ... well, grew up till age 10 in foster care and suffers from PTSD, has panic attacks and so forth, making it difficult for her to remain employed, although she tries. She's trying to get disability. Anyway, I thought she might do well to have an Emotional Support Animal. She loves cats but, well, you can't very well cart a cat around with you, lol. So we thought a dog might fill the bill, or at least I've been giving it some thought.
So yesterday a SIL mentioned that her son has some Australian shepherd puppies he's having a hard time selling and is offering for a ridiculously low price. So after sundown (because it was Sabbath) I texted him that I was interested. But he did not respond. A little later I texted him again, but still ... no answer. So this morning I texted him the third time ... no response. That's weird, I thought, but then I figured he might be in church. I was busy all day and then this afternoon the Lord nudged me with the smart stick and I thought, "OH! I have not prayed about this! Here I am running ahead of the Lord!"
I was driving at the time, but I immediately went to the Lord in prayer and confessed. "Lord, I'm so sorry! I was so excited about these puppies I forgot to ask what Your will is in this matter! Do YOU want GC to have an Emotional Support Dog? If so, is one of these puppies going to be what she needs? I leave this entirely up to You. You lead and direct. Whatever You want for her is what we want as well. We trust You. Thank You, Amen." And as soon as I said Amen, my phone rang. It was the guy with the puppies! My texts had just gone through to him!
So I went and picked up GC, we drove to his house, and, well ....

Here he is. Bruce, the Emo. Eight weeks old. And she is going to do all the training, under my guidance. He's the most chill of all the puppies, and she is over the moon. Isn't it amazing how the Lord works? Praise Him, the King of Glory!
