prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

Praying for all those who need it.

Heavenly Father, You know every need. You are our Father and Creator. You are not wearied by our requests nor are You surprised, dismayed nor overwhelmed. You Who hold the stars, galaxies and constellations in their appointed courses are not at a loss to know how to solve the problems of Your beloved children. You, Who created the atom, the neutron, the quark, and hold them together with the power of Your wisdom and love, do not find our concerns insignificant. No, You sent Your Son, Your only Son Jesus, Whom You love, to live and die for us, for each one of us, as if we were the only one for whom He had to die, for Your love for each of us is infinite. O incomprehensible love! Father, we bring our needs, our pains, our fears to You. We lay them at Your feet. We ask that You do with them according to Your infinite wisdom, love and will, and give us courage and faith and trust to accept that will with peace and serenity. And we thank you for this in the blessed name of your Son Jesus, who died for our sins, that we might abide forever with You. Amen.
Thank you for this prayer, BigBlue, I'm sure there are people who needed to read these beautiful words and here this message this day.

Thank you. Sometimes I think ... we think our problems are too big for God ... or too small to bother Him with ... or, He's too busy running the universe to have time for "little old me" ... or that our concerns are not very important... or, or, or. So I think it's good to be reminded that we are His children. Each and every one of us! And for those of us who have children, we know ... every one of our kids is just as important and precious to us as if each one was an "only." And that's how God feels about us. ❤️

yep - I had that very conversation earlier today --- "I'm not worthy of asking for help".......

We do not pray to persuade God to do something for us that He is unwilling to do for us. Nor do we pray to make Him aware of our needs. He knows what we need. We do not pray to bring Him down to our level. No. We pray to bring ourselves into alignment with His will. We pray to bring ourselves into submission to His great heart of love. Scripture says His ear is not heavy that it cannot hear, nor His arm shortened that it cannot save, but that our sins have come between us and Him, so that He cannot hear our prayers. Isa. 59:1, 2. Let us pray that He may open our eyes and hearts so that we can see where we have gone out of His will, and how we can come back into alignment with Him, so that He can bless us.

If we were not worthy, He would not have told us: ASK, and it shall be given you; SEEK and ye shall find, KNOCK and the door will be opened. Matt. 7:7. SO many places Scripture tells us to ask, so He can bless us!

An infant may not be "worthy" of having its diaper changed - it can do nothing to "earn" such care, right? but its parents do it because of its great NEED, yes? So does our Father desire to provide for our every need. Not for anything we can do for Him, to "earn" His care and goodness, but simply because He is Love and we are His children.
